This is one of my favourite paintings at UQ’s Art Museum, The James and Mary Emelia Mayne Centre. At this beautiful building, the University presents Our Way, Contemporary Aboriginal Art from Lockhart River, as an initiative to celebrate a yearly event, We All Count – an event that focuses on Australian Indigenous issues.

I’ve been planning to go there since a month ago, but I was so busy with the assignments and projects, that everytime I passed this Museum on my way to bus stop, its gate was already closed. So today, right after I finished my second exam of the week, I decided to visit this place, as I needed to release all my stress during the exam!

Regarding the stress release, my friends and I had a “stress release, get together, and movie session” last Saturday, right after our first exam. Chris, Jay Jay, and I first had a light lunch at our favourite restaurant, Nando’s — we’ve already been here 3 times in a week!!! We chatted and talked about our exam. I think the exam was a good start; I honestly expected it to be worst than that!

I’ve been studying with Chris, Jay Jay, and others for the past few days. Study group makes everything a little bit easier. Jay Jay was very good at making up “stories” or “sentences” to help us memorise the exam’s materials. For example, he came up with this sentence for the characteristics of quality requirements: Chris can’t make tea, which refers to Complete, Consistent, Modifiable, and Traceable. Hehehe. Chris complained about it, so he used can, instead of can’t . Jay Jay also created other easy-to-remember sentences, such as Can u find NPV? and Cook a pot of spicy large chicken.

Anyway, Jay Jay suddenly told us that he wanted to go to the cinema and come back to Uni to study afterwards. All of a sudden, we’re all excited to watch a movie, either Pirates or Shrek 3. I wasn’t planning to go, but then I thought… “Hey, why not?? I’ve been working very hard these few weeks! Let’s have fun!” Hahaha. We then called Jerry to join us and meet us at Jay Jay’s place. (I swear to God, I’m sick of Nando’s! No more Nando’s!!)

So all four of us went to the cinema in Southbank. We’re going to watch Shrek, but unfortunately the tickets were already sold out. So we decided to watch Pirates instead. We then went to the cafe nearby, as we had to wait for another one hour (Chris treated us! Thanks, Chris!! hehehe). We talked about technology, IT, IT, and IT hahaha… we’re so geek, eh??? I’m sure no one — other than IT geeks — would understand what we’re talking about. LOL.
